FAQs
How long does your fermented food last?
Our fermented foods have a shelf life of approximately six to 12 months when stored in the refrigerator. Always use a clean utensil to prevent contamination and keep the lid sealed tightly.
Do your fermented foods contain probiotics?
Yes! Our sauerkrauts, kimchi, and other fermented foods are naturally rich in live probiotics, which support digestion, gut health, and overall wellness.
Why does my sauerkraut taste slightly different from the last batch?
Because we use natural fermentation and fresh, local ingredients, slight variations in taste, texture, and color are normal. This is a sign of a handcrafted, living product!
Why is there no gochugaru in your Vegan Kimchi?
Kimchi is a type of fermented sauerkraut with many regional and homemade variations. While traditional versions often include fish sauce and gochugaru, our vegan kimchi is crafted to be completely plant-based while still delivering bold, complex flavors. To replicate the depth of gochugaru, we use a carefully balanced blend of ingredients that complement the fermentation process.
Do your fermented foods need to be refrigerated?
Yes! Our fermented foods are raw and unpasteurized, meaning they must be kept refrigerated to maintain their probiotics and freshness. They will be delivered to you unrefrigerated, but you must put them in the fridge as soon as possible to slow down fermentation and preserve their quality.
Can I cook with fermented foods?
You can, but heating fermented foods above 40°C (104°F) may reduce their probiotic benefits. For maximum gut health benefits, enjoy them raw or add them at the end of cooking.
Are your fermented foods suitable for people with food sensitivities?
Absolutely! Our products are vegan, gluten-free, and free from artificial additives. However, some items contain allergens like mustard or soy, so always check the ingredients if you have specific dietary needs.
Storage & Usage Tips:
Ease In – If you're new to fermented foods, start with small amounts and let your gut adjust gradually. Balance is key!
Refrigerate Always – Our products are raw and unpasteurized, packed with live probiotics. Keep them refrigerated to maintain freshness and slow fermentation. Open carefully, as natural carbonation may cause overflow.
Cabbage Leaf Lid – Some jars contain a cabbage leaf on top to help preserve freshness. Simply remove it, take what you need, and place it back.
Keep It Clean – Wipe the rim of jars after each use to maintain maximum freshness and longevity.
